Equestrian Center – Seasonal
Join our Equestrian Center staff! We are currently hiring for:
- Weekend Feed Shifts – morning and evening shifts
- Weekday PM Feed shift – 3:30pm to 5pm
- Horsemanship Program Staff – Tuesdays & Thursdays from 3:30pm to 6:00pm
Ropes Course Facilitators – Spring and Fall
Join our adventure challenge team of facilitators. We work with a variety of clients and have a great low & high ropes course with a nice variety of elements. The Ropes Course faciltator is a part-time positions that works with local schools to provide a team building program focused on communication and trust building. Program days vary and are half day (4 hours or less) and others are full days (more than 4 hours). Contact Sgriswold@campketcha.org for more information.
Special Education Teacher/Ed Tech III
We are currently hiring in our pre-school and summer programs for a special education teacher and Ed Tech III positions to work with youth in an inclusive environment.
Summer Camp Counselors & Staff – Seasonal
We are looking for Senior and Junior counselors ages 17+ (16+ if they have completed the Camp Ketcha CIT/LIT program or similar type program) and Senior counselors who are 18+ with previous experience working with children.
2017 Summer Day Camp Staff Openings
Responsibilities listed are brief statements and are not all-inclusive. Job descriptions and personnel policies will be provided. All staff must have CPR/First Aid Certification by the first day of camp.
TRACKER SENIOR COUNSELORS (5) Work directly with a group of 8-10 ten to thirteen year-old campers. The three categorys include Sports/Aquatic; Artisan; Ropes/ Adventure Challenges; and General Track QUALIFICATIONS: Must be at least 18 years of age, have prior experience working with children and posses a valid CPR/First Aid Certification.
CHIPMUNK COUNSELORS: Campers age 8-9. QUALIFICATIONS: Must be at least 18 years of age, have prior experience working with children and posses a valid CPR/First Aid Certification.
WOODCHUCK COUNSELORS: Campers age 6-7 QUALIFICATIONS: Must be at least 18 years of age, have prior experience working with children and posses a valid CPR/First Aid Certification.
JUNIOR COUNSELORS- ALL AGE GROUPS QUALIFICATIONS: Must be at least 17 years of age, (16+ if they have completed the Camp Ketcha CIT/LIT program or similar type program) and posses a valid CPR/First Aid Certification.
SPECIALTY CAMP COUNSELOR (4 Senior, 4 junior) Responsible for the supervision of up to 12 campers during specialty camps.Enthusiasm is a must. QUALIFICATIONS: Must have prior experience working with children and posses a valid CPR/First Aid Certification. Senior Counselor must be at least 21 years old, junior counselor must be at least 18 years old.
ROPES/ADVENTURE CHALLENGE PROGRAM AREA LEADERS (1 senior, 1 junior) Responsible for activity planning and delivery for our ropes program area including team building, high and low ropes initiatives. QUALIFICATIONS: Junior Ropes Instructor- must be 18 years of age or older, have prior experience working with children. Senior Ropes Instructor- must be 21 years of age or older, have prior experience working on a high and low ropes course, certification preferred. Both positions require current CPR/First Aid Certification.
HORSEMANSHIP RIDING INSTRUCTORS (3) Responsible for guiding both groups and individuals in the correct methods of grooming, tacking and beginning English riding techniques. Qualifications: Must be experienced in horse care and riding, with an ability to communicate easily with children. Ages 16 + will be considered.
SUMMER BARN MANAGER (1) This position answers directly to the Equestrian Program Director and is responsible for organizing feed shifts and overseeing the smooth running of the barn and care of the farm animals. Some interaction with campers will be expected, so the ideal candidate will enjoy explaining animal care to children. Position will run from June to September. Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years old, have hands-on experience caring for different species of farm animals, possess strong time management skills and be an independent worker with great communication skills.
