Here are some upcoming events for 2012 

 

February 18, 2012 – CK Riding Club Field Trip to New England Equine Veterinary Hospital - An exciting opportunity to take a tour of New England's largest and most well known equine veterinary hospital. Students will learn about horse health, careers, and will be abl to see how a large scale veterinary clinic is run! – $30, bus will leave Camp Ketcha at 8:30am.

 

March 30, 2012 – Parent Information Night for Upcoming Show Season – Any parents who have students interested in participating in horse shows this coming summer with Cindy, Faith, or Lauren should attend this meeting. We will be going over plans for show season, how to sign your student up for various shows, and we will answer any questions you may have about showing. See you there!

 

April 14+15, 2012 – SMDA Spring Dressage Clinic with Shannon Dueck - She is a well known trainer who has ridden for Canada in the PanAm Games as well as the World Championships. It should be fun to attend and is encouraged for CK Riding Club members as well as any interested in dressage. Stay tuned for information on auditing fees, and let Faith know if you are interested in participating in the clinic!

 

May 5+6, 2012 – UNH Horse Trials – Come support local riders as they compete from Beginner Novice through Preliminary level, and learn about how real horse trials are run! Students will get to see the riding discipline of eventing, which consists of arena jumping, cross country, and dressage. $20

 

May 6, 2012 – Southern Maine Dressage Association Spring Schooling Show at Hollis Equestrian Center - This is the first chance for students wishing to compete is dressage to give it a shot at a very local, friendly environment! Please contact Faith about show entry details.

 

May 20, 2012 – Mousam Pleasure Show – This is another opportunity for students to show in a friendly and fun environment. Please stay tuned for a class list, and contact Faith if you have any questions on how to sign up.
