Pony Programs – ages 3 to 14

Nurture their passion for ponies and watch them grow…

Introductory classes on horses and horse care.  All programs are “rain or shine” and will include a combination of indoor and outdoor activities depending on the weather.

 

PONY PROGRAMS

Pony Grooming Class for Wee Ones (AGES 3 -5)

A great introductory class to learn about horses together. Our shortened, 30 minute class allows you and your child to both participate in a grooming activity and/or a pony ride.  Please note that if you are wearing flip-flops or open toed shoes, you will not be permitted to participate in our grooming activities.  Class size will be limited to 2 couples per session.

 

Cost:

$15 for each 30 minute class

The class lasts a total of a half hour. A 15 minute grooming time for parent child enjoyment followed by a speedy tack up and a pony ride consisting of two trips around our arena for the child!

 

 

Pony Classes will be schedule on a class by class basis or may be scheduled in blocks of 4 classes.  Please contact the barn directly to set up a class or for additional information.

PONY FOR A DAY (AGES 6 – 14)

Cost:  $160 for 4 classes

Participants will gain valuable hands-on experience as they groom, feed, and care for “their” horse each week.  Participants may also have the opportunity to ride depending on weather conditions.  Riding time will be supervised.  Limit of 4 participants per class.

REGISTRATION & POLICIES

To register now, you may download and complete the following three forms: Registration Form, Health History Form & 2013 Equine Release. You may fax or mail your registration forms with full payment to secure your child’s spot.

Please note that an Annual Membership Fee of $20 is required to register for all programs.

 

Riders must wear long pants and boots with a 1″ – 1 1/2″ heel in all Riding and Horsemanship Programs.  All programs are “rain or shine” and will include a combination of indoor and outdoor activities depending on the weather each session. We will take advantage of all opportunities to ride in our riding ring or on our trails.
