Pony Programs – ages 3 to 7
Nurture their passion for ponies and watch them grow…
Introductory classes on horses and horse care. All programs are “rain or shine” and will include a combination of indoor and outdoor activities depending on the weather.
Pony Grooming Class (AGES 3 -7)
A great introductory class to learn about horses together. Our shortened, 30 minute class allows you and your child to both participate in a grooming activity and/or a pony ride for the child. For safety reasons, we cannot allow parent and child to ride together. Please note that if you are wearing flip-flops or open toed shoes, you will not be permitted to participate in our grooming activities. Classes are typically held in the morning and can be scheduled weekly.
Please note that this is not a riding lesson, but a pony ride. The pony ride consists of staff leading the pony/horse 2 laps around the ring – your child will not have the opportunity to hold reins or practice steering. Riding lessons here at Camp Ketcha are for ages 6 & up.
$15 for each 30 minute class
The class lasts a total of a half hour. A 15 minute grooming time for parent child enjoyment followed by a speedy tack up and a pony ride consisting of two trips around our arena for the child!
Please contact Rosemary at 883-8977, ext 110 to sign up for a class.
Saturday Pony Rides (April-October)
A truly fun way to enjoy time with your family, Pony rides are offered at our barn, Ring 2, each Saturday from noon-1pm.
