School Year Offerings

 

We offer activities year-round to children and youth.  We offer and encourage children and their families to engage with nature and the outdoors!  There are many exciting opportunities to come out and play on Camp Ketcha’s beautiful 107 acres during the school year!

Adventure Based Counseling

We offer programs for both schools and community members.  Our school Adventure Based Counseling (ABC) programs are for weekly, monthly or annual class programs. Our community program for adventure and outdoor based individual and family therapy is only offered on Sundays.

After School Programs 

We offer elementary and middle school after-school care during the school year Monday-Friday. After-school “campers” get to participate in variety of fun and exciting activities throughout the school-year with our qualified after-school staff.  Activities in our afterschool program may include:

 

  • Arts & Crafts
  • Environmental Education
  • Hiking
  • Sports
  • Archery
  • Homework time
  • Low/High Ropes (age dependent)

SPECIALTY After School Program

Learning Outdoor Skills & Techniques L.O.S.T.

L.O.S.T. is an awesome program for kids ages 8-13 led by Lou Falank, Maine Primitive Skills School Instructor and Registered Maine Guide that focuses on primitive outdoor survival techniques and naturalist skills!  Have fun with other kids while learning the skills of fire building, shelter building, animal tracking, outdoor cooking, primitive tool making and MUCH MORE!!  We offer Tuesday or Thursday after-school LOST programs.  This specialty after-school program begins at 4pm and ends at 6pm.

School Vacation Camp Programs  

We offer a full day of activities for children ages 4-14. Each day features activities to keep your child engaged. Campers may register by the day or by the week. We will do inside projects, play outside in our 107 acres of fields and woods. School Vacation Camps are offered almost everyday children are out of school for scheduled vacations.  Activities may include arts & crafts, outdoor living skills, drama, group games, environmental education, sports, team-building activities, cooking and much more.  Come experience summer camp during the school year!
