Camp Ketcha Summer Camp has five amazing summer day camp opportunities for your child:
Traditional Day Camps – ages 3-14
Activities offered: Sports, Drama & Music, Arts & Crafts, Environmental Education, Outdoor Living Skills, Archery, High & Low Ropes Course and Swimming.
SUMMER CAMP PROGRAM HOURS

BUS SERVICE & PRICING
Two buses provide service from convenient locations around Greater Portland. Each bus has two Camp Ketcha staff monitors with cellular phone access. Qualified drivers from Custom Coach of Portland operate our buses. If you live more than 5 miles from Camp Ketcha, it is more affordable for you child to ride our bus than to drive them to and from camp each day. Save the environment and money by signing up today. SUMMER CAMP SPECIAL: The first 50 campers who register for 8 or more FULL TIME weeks receive: FREE Before/After Care, Bus Transportation or $25 off a week – THIS OFFER IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE FOR THE 2014 SUMMER
Camp Ketcha wants even more children to have a real Maine summer camp experience. We are doing this by offering free before and after care or bus transportation. Last summers Camp Parent survey told us that the best way we could help parents was to reduce costs that working parents have to pay. Reducing this cost for working families will allow more children to get outside and be active for more weeks of the summer.
If you sign up your camper for 8 full time weeks of camp (the week of July 4th counts as a full time week) then you can choose before and after care or round trip bus transportation for free. If you do not need extended care Camp Ketcha will take $25 off a week, $200 max for the summer discounted off of your last week. If you cancel a week than you will be responsible for paying for any transportation or early & late care that you used.
In order to access the discount please register as you normally would online and send an email with request details to Registration(at)campketcha(dot)org or send a note with your paper registration in the mail/in person. If you have already registered and want to take advantage you can just send an email. This offer is not valid for partial weeks. Offer is valid for the first 50 individual campers who sign up for 8 or more weeks, not families with multiple children signing up for a total of 8 weeks. All deposits and the registration fee must be paid in order to be eligible for the discount. Any additional weeks added after your initial registration will not be eligible for the discount. There will also be a $25 change fee if you want to change the discount details after your initial registration (i.e if you want to switch from free bus to free early/late care).

Our staff members are hired for their enthusiasm, creativity and ability to provide a nurturing, caring and fun atmosphere. We provide thorough training including: child development, risk management, curriculum planning, emergency procedures, and waterfront safety. All personnel undergo a background check and are First Aid and CPR certified. We are known for our high-quality staffing and low staff to camper ratios.
OUR CAMP DIRECTOR
Liz Tully has worked at Camp Ketcha for the past twelve years, first as a counselor, then working her way up to Camp Director in the summer of 2004. She is a member of the American Camp Association and serves on the Standards Committee. Liz is passionately committed to youth development and empowerment. In 2007 and again in 2010 Liz and the Camp Ketcha team achieved accreditation from the American Camp Association. Liz lives locally with her husband and three young children, two are campers and students in our Montessori preschool.
CAMP GOALS & OUTCOMES
Building caring confident youth and providing opportunities for camper to develop leadership skills are our goals. Children at Camp Ketcha make new friends, learn new skills, build greater self-awareness and participate actively in camp programs that focus on creativity, self-discovery, physical activity and outdoor fun. During staff training our staff are trained in various methods in order to carry out our mission.
