Specialty camps offer a variety of activities, programs, and in-depth experiences for campers. These camps fill quickly, so register soon to secure your child’s spot! All specialty camps will have elective traditional camp activity periods.

COPS & ROBBERS
July 14-18/Cost: $285
Limited to 12

Learn what local police officers do on a daily basis, solve “crimes” at Camp Ketcha, use our ropes course to complete a “SWAT” obstacle course, have some target practice and visit a local police department.

ROPE & ROCK

July 28-August 1 /Cost: $305
Limited to 12

Designed for adventurous campers who enjoy our ropes course, they work through team and individual challenges on high and low ropes, learn knot tying and how to belay fellow campers, review equipment safety and maintenance and improve teamwork and communication skills. Campers visit the Maine Rock Gym to climb.

 

OUTDOOR SURVIVAL CAMP
– TWO OFFERINGS

Limited to 12

Learn outdoor survival skills, make shelters that will withstand inclement weather, learn about edible plants, tracking and safety skills. Includes one overnight at Camp Ketcha.

WORLD OF WATER

July 21-25/Cost: $320
Limited to 12

Designed for campers who love being in the water. Campers will spend two mornings snorkeling with Paul Rollins, professional dive instructor. The first day will be instruction on using fins, goggles and snorkels. The second day will be spent snorkeling in our pond and pool. Campers will spend one day at a local water park, explore beaches and spend time on our property exploring the Scarborough Marsh.  Campers will also learn about the water cycle, water resources and water pollution.

WHITEWATER RAFTING & ROCK CLIMBING –
10-14
August 11-15/ Cost $465
Limited to 10  FULL.  Accepting wait-list applicants

This program will start out on our high & low ropes course elements. Campers will go through belay instruction and learn how to belay their peer as well as learning to work as a team. Campers will then travel to Northern Maine to rock climb & whitewater raft on the Kennebec River. Have fun and use your team skills negotiating the rapids. Includes overnights on Tuesday & Wednesday.
