Equestrian Center – Seasonal
Join our Equestrian Center staff! We are currently hiring for:
- Weekend Feed Shifts – morning and evening shifts
- Weekday PM Feed shift – 3:30pm to 5pm
- Horsemanship Program Staff – Tuesdays & Thursdays from 3:30pm to 6:00pm
Ropes Course Facilitators – Spring, Sum mer and Fall
Join our adventure challenge team of facilitators. We work with a variety of clients and have a great low & high ropes course with a nice variety of elements. The Ropes Course faciltator is a part-time positions that works with local schools to provide a team building program focused on communication and trust building. Program days vary and are half day (4 hours or less) and others are full days (more than 4 hours). Contact Sgriswold@campketcha.org for more information.
2017 Summer Day Camp Staff Openings
Responsibilities listed are brief statements and are not all-inclusive. Job descriptions and personnel policies will be provided. All staff must have CPR/First Aid Certification by the first day of camp.
Summer camp positions are 35-40+ hours per week. Traditional counselors work Monday through Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm. Early-care and after-care certain weeks may alter this schedule slightly.
Summer Camp Counselors & Seasonal Staff –HIRING for 2017:
We are looking for Senior Counselors age 18+ and Junior counselors ages 17+ (16+ if they have completed the Camp Ketcha CIT/LIT program or similar type program).
BOBCAT TRACKER SENIOR COUNSELORS: Work directly with a group of 8-10 ten to thirteen year-old campers. The three categorys include Sports/Aquatic; Artisan; and General Track QUALIFICATIONS: Must be at least 18 years of age, have prior experience working with children and posses a valid CPR/First Aid Certification.
CHIPMUNK COUNSELORS: Campers age 8-9. QUALIFICATIONS: Must be at least 18 years of age, have prior experience working with children and posses a valid CPR/First Aid Certification.
WOODCHUCK COUNSELORS: Campers age 6-7 QUALIFICATIONS: Must be at least 18 years of age, have prior experience working with children and posses a valid CPR/First Aid Certification.
JUNIOR COUNSELORS- ALL AGE GROUPS QUALIFICATIONS: Must be at least 17 years of age, or 16+ with child-care experience, or if they have completed the Camp Ketcha CIT/LIT program or similar type program) and posses a valid CPR/First Aid Certification (local training available).
SPECIALTY CAMP COUNSELORS Responsible for the supervision of 6-8 campers during specialty camps. Enthusiasm is a must. QUALIFICATIONS: Must have prior experience working with children and posses a valid CPR/First Aid Certification. Senior Counselor must be at least 21 years old, junior counselor must be at least 18 years old.
2017 Specialty/Program Positions
Outdoor Living Skills Program Counselor: Responsible for carrying out daily activities relevant to “Outdoor Living Skills” during the day for campers ranging from age 3-14. Must be 18 years old, experience working with/and or teaching children, and a passion for the outdoors preferred.
Archery Instructor: Looking for experience in teaching kids? We will provide you with Level 1 archery instructor training and you work with kids from an age range from 4-14. Qualifications: CPR/First Aid Certified and experience working with children preferred!
ROPES PROGRAM AREA LEADERS (1 senior, 1 junior) Responsible for activity planning and delivery for our ropes program area including team building, high and low ropes initiatives. QUALIFICATIONS: Junior Ropes Instructor- must be 18 years of age or older, have prior experience working with children. Senior Ropes Instructor- must be 21 years of age or older, have prior experience working on a high and low ropes course, certification preferred. Both positions require current CPR/First Aid Certification.
Lifeguards(2): Age 16+ will be considered. Must hold valid Lifeguard certification.
HORSEMANSHIP RIDING INSTRUCTORS (3) Responsible for guiding both groups and individuals in the correct methods of grooming, tacking and beginning English riding techniques. Qualifications: Must be experienced in horse care and riding, with an ability to communicate easily with children. Ages 16 + will be considered.
