We offer a full day of activities to keep your child engaged. Campers may register by the day or by the week. School Vacation Camps are offered almost everyday children are out of school for scheduled vacations.

Everyday Items Campers Need
- A lunch, snacks, drinks & water bottle
- Weather appropriate clothing and shoes
- Indoor shoes or slippers & extra dry clothes
Traditional Vacation Camp- offered all vacation days that we are open
Each day we will play outside in our 107 acres of fields and woods as well as complete hands on indoor projects with peers. Activities may include arts & crafts, outdoor living skills, drama, group games, environmental education, sports, team building activities, cooking and much more. Come experience summer camp during the school year.
As with our summer program if children have a support staff at school they must have one at vacation camp.
Campers must be 4 by the start of the program and be fully toilet trained.
Horse Back Riding April Vacation Camp
Horse back riding returns to Camp Ketcha this April Vacation! Ages 6 and up. Campers will learn to lead, groom, tack and ride! Other activities include camp crafts, outdoor activities and helping to feed the animals at the barn.
Runs April 15th – 19th. Sign up by the day or for the full week
During our April vacation camp campers can expect to RIDE daily. We will ride in light rain so please dress for the weather. Campers will learn proper safety measures at the farm and spend a lot of time practicing them around the horses while we lead, groom, tack and ride!
Adventure Vacation Camp- offered during April Vacation
Monday-Friday, register by the day or by the week
Adventure Camp Activities:
Monday- Low Ropes Adventure Challenge: Our adventure challenge course focuses on team building, problem solving, and communication through eleven different low challenge elements. Work through the various games with your group!
Tuesday- High Ropes Adventure Challenge: Tuesday is high ropes day! We will attempt different high ropes elements with various climbing challenges during the day!
Wednesday- Mountain Biking: Campers can bring their own bike to camp, we’re going off-roading on trail rides on Camp Ketcha’s property. We will also have a field trip to the Portland Gear Hub and Bike School. One of our counselors will be a bike mechanic and mountain biking expert! We will teach campers how to check their bike is safe to ride, and how to make basic repairs.
*If your child needs a bike, we are offering them for free for families to use during this camp. Please call or email us with questions!
Thursday- Outdoor Survival: How do you start a fire with one match? Without matches? How to purify water? What to do when you’re lost in the woods? How to build a shelter? Campers will be more confident and comfortable with their survival skills and will be able to assemble a “ten essential items” kit.
Friday- Archery: Learn the correct way to shoot our new compound bows, play Archery Horse, High-Low, Reverse Archery, Knockout, and we will pop balloons!
